Terms of Use
These Terms govern the SagaBook application and online services. SagaBook is developed and operated by Alexander Kotlyar ("SagaBook", "we", "us").
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By using SagaBook you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. SagaBook is not directed to children under 13; a higher local minimum age applies where required.
2. Plans, quotas and TokenBooks
SagaBook may offer Free, Basic, Plus, Pro and Ultra access. Benefits, prices and allowances are the ones displayed in the app or app store before purchase. Paid access is not unlimited compute unless an offer expressly says so. TokenBooks may be offered as a separate top-up for eligible AI features.
Plans can be subject to disclosed usage quotas, file-size limits, rate limits, safety controls, fair-use rules and temporary capacity controls. We may queue, slow or reject automated, excessive, abusive or quota-bypassing activity.
3. Your books and input
You retain rights in material you provide and confirm that you have the right or other legal basis to import, process, translate, analyse or share it. Do not upload confidential or personal data you are not authorised to process.
4. AI-generated content
AI output is probabilistic and can be inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, offensive or unsuitable. It is not medical, legal, financial or safety advice. Review generated analysis, translations, illustrations and narration before relying on, publishing or sharing them. We do not guarantee uniqueness, copyrightability or absence of third-party rights.
5. Prohibited use
You may not use SagaBook to:
- create, request, facilitate or distribute illegal or legally restricted content or services;
- sexually exploit, sexualise or endanger minors, or facilitate child abuse, grooming or trafficking;
- support terrorism, violent extremist activity, credible targeted violence or instructions whose purpose is to enable serious harm;
- promote hateful abuse, targeted harassment, stalking, doxxing or non-consensual intimate content;
- encourage or facilitate self-harm or suicide in a way that creates a real risk of harm;
- commit fraud, phishing, impersonation, credential theft, malware distribution or other cyber abuse;
- violate privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark or other third-party rights;
- bypass safety systems, access controls, subscriptions, quotas or rate limits;
- scrape or automate the service at unreasonable scale, reverse engineer protected server systems, resell access or impose disproportionate technical or financial load.
6. Literary and mature content
SagaBook is a reading tool. A lawfully obtained book may contain fictional violence, horror, sexuality, crime, war or other mature themes, and SagaBook may analyse such source text to understand scenes and characters. This does not mean every requested generated image, narration or transformation is permitted; generation features remain subject to law, provider rules and SagaBook safety controls.
7. Public Library
Public Library can provide links, metadata and public-domain editions from Project Gutenberg. SagaBook is not affiliated with or endorsed by Project Gutenberg. Project Gutenberg primarily evaluates public-domain status under U.S. law; copyright status may differ in your country. You are responsible for complying with the law that applies to you.
8. Safety reports and enforcement
We may block output, restrict a feature, suspend access or terminate use when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, protection of the service or repeated violation of these Terms. Reports can be sent through the app where available or to support@sagabook.org.
9. Subscriptions, cancellation and refunds
Purchases made through Google Play are billed and managed by Google Play. Renewal, cancellation and refunds follow the offer shown at purchase, Google Play rules and mandatory consumer law.
10. Availability and backups
Network and AI features can be delayed, interrupted or unavailable due to maintenance, capacity, provider changes, safety checks or events outside reasonable control. SagaBook is not a permanent cloud archive; keep a user-created backup of important local data.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, SagaBook is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect analysis or translation, or a particular artistic result. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect service, safety or legal changes. Questions, notices and reports: support@sagabook.org.
